Cosmopolitanism is the ideology that all human ethnic groups belong to a single community based on a shared morality. In the years, 412-323 BC, the greek philosopher, Diogenes, was the first known person to declare himself a cosmopolitan, a citizen of the world rather than claiming allegiance to just one place. When asked where he came from, he replied, "I am a citizen of the world (cosmopolites)".
“I am a citizen of the world.” - Diogenes of Sinope (412 - 323 BC)
