Scarcity (Draft)

Scarcity of any resources tend to drive people to take actions that harm themselves, others or the environment to satisfy their craving when there are limited resources.

The truth is it is very difficult to remain in a state of peace, harmony and happiness if your basic physiological and security needs are unmet. In this state the human mind is focused solely on the attainment of these needs. In fact, the entire history of mankind has been focused on ensuring that we have everything we need to survive even if it meant harming others or breaking the golden rule “do unto others as you would like done unto you,” to get what we need.

Sustainable abundance of human needs will greatly free our society of craving.

The most important human needs are physiological (food, water, sleep, etc.), security, love, esteem and transpersonal.
